Fresco raises $20 million Series B.

The latest funding round is led by three international appliance brands including; Instant Brands, Vorwerk, and a third to be announced later in the year as part of a new partnership. All of Fresco’s existing venture investors also participated.

The announcement comes just two weeks after we unveiled our brand evolution from Drop to Fresco. You can read more about the rebrand and what it means for our community.

Smart kitchen appliance users are expected to reach 248 million worldwide by 2027. The Fresco KitchenOS platform is designed to facilitate the transition to that future for both appliance makers and home cooks. Fresco connects any compatible appliance, across brands so that users can focus on what they do best, preparing meals and we are committed to building the best possible cooking experience.

The “connects with Fresco” brand will be used to certify appliances that can be controlled from any interface from smartphones, and tablets, to smart speakers, and smart home assistants.

Future partners will also be given the opportunity to invest in Fresco. The first cohort of appliance partners to invest includes leading appliance brands: Instant Brands, maker of the iconic Instant Pot; Vorwerk, the company behind fan-favorite, all-in-one multi-cooker Thermomix TM6; and a third major appliance manufacturer to be announced later in the year.

These preeminent appliance manufacturers are investing in the Fresco KitchenOS because they believe that we are positioned to make the promise of the smart kitchen a reality.
